Les conférences données au AMSAT-UK International Space Colloquium seront diffusées en direct à un public mondial au cours du week-end du 8 au 9 octobre 2022. L’événement du week-end attire un public international qui va des personnes impliquées dans construire et exploiter des satellites de radio amateur aux débutants qui souhaitent en savoir plus sur cette branche fascinante du passe-temps. Il y aura notamment un tour d’horizon d’un certain nombre de nouveaux projets de vaisseaux spatiaux réels et potentiels qui sont à l’étude et/ou en développement.
La diffusion du samedi se déroulera de 08h30 à 16h45 GMT et de 08h30 à 14h15 GMT le dimanche.

After the war, Little America IV consisting of an airstrip and 60 tents, was set up nearby as a headquarters for Operation High Jump (1946–47), an expedition designed to explore and document Antarctica’s coastline as well as to extend U.S. sovereignty to the continent. When an expedition next returned (1956) in preparation for the International Geophysical Year (1957–58), parts of the earlier Little America camps were found to have vanished because of calving of the ice shelf.
Little America IV camp was thug established as US Navy’s Operation Highjump, of 1946–1947.
