Une agréable surprise….

De temps en temps au cours de la semaine dernière, j’ai vu 3B7M dxpedition repéré sur le
DX Heat Cluster et la plupart du temps, soit je ne les ai pas entendus, soit ils étaient au niveau ou en dessous
du plancher de bruit. Je savais qu’ils étaient là car le pile-up était bel et bien vivant et répondait avec leurs indicatifs d’appel dans l’espoir de se retrouver dans le journal 3B7M.
Hier, ils ont été repérés sur 15 m à leur abreuvoir CW habituel de 21.005 et comme pour toutes les dxpedition, ils opéraient en split.

Great emotions this year with several Antarctic Stations on our Logs!

Now the operators are almost leaving the Icy Continent;  some are already back home,   others are approaching the return,  others are still on site for another 20-25 days,  as for example the Czeck Team actually at Johan Georg Mendel Station (WAP CZE-NEW) or the Argentineans at Petrel Base (WAP ARG-17) as well as the Overwintering Teams at the several Bases  who areapproaching the loong South Polar night. Our thanks go to the Argentinean operators at Esperanza LU1ZV and  Belgrano II  LU1ZG,  the Russian RI1ANC from Vostok RI1ANU at Bellingshausen,  who are still on,   to continue to be on air  or VU2CUW at Maitri waiting to be on air!.

WAP is following the overwintering Teams  hoping to work some of the operators before too long … but how not to be grateful to David FT4YM for his wonderful activity from the various Antarctic sites , some of which, never worked before! How not to be grateful to the 3YØJ Team for the exciting operation at Bouvet Island another new one for many of us, to Sebastiam VP8/SQ1SGB from Halley 6-a Station and as VP8/SQ1SGB/p from Wolf’s Fang Runway (WFR) together with Oleg Sakharov ZS7ANF that, in addtion to the WFR, he did operate from Whichaway Camp WAP MNB-11. About Oleg, in a message sent to WAP, he wrote:  «300 QSO from WhichAway this time. I came back to WFR after 8 hours car driving. We did close the camp now and we are back to Cape Town»

Thanks to Oleg UA6GG-DX Trophy  who sent us  a picture (here on the side) showing some very well known brigade of Antarcticians friends who haven’t seen each other for a very long time,  joining a  festive meeting at Cape Town, South Africa after the tiring experience in Antarctica. De belles émotions cette année avec plusieurs Stations Antarctiques sur nos Logs !

Maintenant, les opérateurs quittent presque le continent glacé ; certains sont déjà rentrés chez eux, d’autres approchent du retour, d’autres sont encore sur place pour encore 20 à 25 heures
jours, comme par exemple l’équipe tchèque actuellement à la station Johan Georg Mendel (WAP CZE-NEW) ou les argentins à la base Petrel (WAP ARG-17) ainsi que les équipes d’hivernage à la
plusieurs bases qui approchent de la longue nuit polaire sud. Nos remerciements vont aux opérateurs argentins d’Esperanza LU1ZV et  Belgrano II  LU1ZG,  le russe
RI1ANC de Vostok RI1ANU à Bellingshausen, qui sont toujours à l’antenne, pour continuer à être à l’antenne ou VU2CUW à Maitri en attendant d’être à l’antenne !.

WAP suit les équipes hivernantes  dans l’espoir de faire travailler certains des opérateurs avant trop longtemps… mais comment ne pas être reconnaissant
à David FT4YM pour sa merveilleuse activité depuis les différents sites antarctiques, dont certains n’ont jamais fonctionné auparavant ! Comment ne pas être reconnaissant envers l’équipe 3YØJ
pour l’opération passionnante à l’île Bouvet, une autre nouvelle pour beaucoup d’entre nous, à Sebastiam VP8/SQ1SGB de Halley 6-a Station et en tant que VP8/SQ1SGB/p de
Wolf’s Fang Runway (WFR)

avec Oleg Sakharov ZS7ANF qu’en plus du WFR, il a opéré depuis le Whichaway Camp WAP MNB -11
. À propos d’Oleg, dans un message envoyé à WAP, il a écrit :  «300 QSO de WhichAway cette fois. Je suis revenu à WFR après 8 heures de conduite en voiture. Nous avons fermé le camp maintenant et nous sommes
retour au Cap»

Merci au Oleg UA6GG-DX Trophy qui nous a envoyé une photo (ici sur le côté) montrant une brigade très connue d’amis antarctiques qui ne se sont pas vus depuis un moment très longtemps, rejoignant une réunion festive au Cap, en Afrique du Sud, après l’expérience fatigante en Antarctique.
